Curse is a hidden stat that increases the difficulty of your run by making enemies more aggressive, increasing the chance of Jammed enemies, and attracting the Lord of the Jammed. Certain items, like the Sixth Chamber or the Akey-47, increase your Curse. While risky, high Curse can also lead to better loot. Blasphemy is a unique sword that deflects bullets and is tied to a specific character.
