This section dives deep into the muddy trenches of each level, offering precise, actionable strategies to help you achieve those coveted 3-star ratings and uncover every hidden treat. Forget aimless wandering; with these guides, your Wanko will be a master of the muck!

The Verdant Valley - Level 1: Puppy's First Puddle

This introductory level is designed to teach you the basics of mud collection and obstacle navigation. Don't underestimate it – mastering the fundamentals here sets you up for future success!

• Objective: Collect 10 units of mud, find 3 hidden bones.
• Walkthrough:
  1. Start by heading directly forward. You'll immediately encounter a small, circular mud patch. Use your Dig ability (default: Left Click) to collect 3 units of mud.
  2. Turn right and follow the winding path. You'll see a fallen log. Use your Jump ability (default: Spacebar) to clear it.
  3. Immediately after the log, look behind the large, moss-covered rock on your left. Here you'll find your first Gnawed Bone.
  4. Continue along the path. You'll come across a larger, rectangular mud pit. Collect 5 units of mud from here. Be careful not to fall into the deeper section – it slows your Wanko down!
  5. To the right of this mud pit, near a cluster of bright red mushrooms, is a small, barely visible dirt mound. Dig here to unearth your second Gnawed Bone.
  6. Proceed towards the sparkling stream. Before crossing, look under the drooping willow tree on the left bank. Your final Gnawed Bone is nestled amongst its roots.
  7. Cross the stream (it's shallow, no special action needed). On the opposite bank, there's a final, small mud patch. Collect the remaining 2 units of mud to complete your primary objective.
• Pro Tip: Practice your Dash (default: Shift) in open areas to get a feel for its speed boost. It's not strictly necessary here, but good to get acquainted with!

The Whispering Woods - Level 3: The Great Acorn Hunt

Level 3 introduces more complex environmental puzzles and the need for efficient pathing. Keep an eye out for those tricky squirrels!

• Objective: Collect 15 units of mud, find 5 hidden acorns, avoid the Grumpy Squirrels.
• Key Items:
  • Shiny Acorn: Collect these for bonus points.
  • Muddy Paw Print: Indicates a nearby hidden item or a safe path.
  • Grumpy Squirrel: If they spot you, they'll chase you for a few seconds, causing you to drop 2 units of mud.
• Walkthrough:
  1. From the start, head left towards the large oak tree. Around its base, you'll find a generous mud patch. Collect 7 units of mud.
  2. Look closely at the roots of the oak tree. One root has a distinct Muddy Paw Print next to it. Dig here to uncover your first Shiny Acorn.
  3. Proceed north, following the faint dirt trail. You'll encounter your first Grumpy Squirrel patrolling a small clearing. Wait for it to turn its back before dashing across.
  4. In the center of this clearing is a small, elevated mound. Jump onto it. At the peak, you'll find your second Shiny Acorn.
  5. Continue east. You'll see a cluster of three smaller trees. Between the middle and right tree, there's a hidden mud patch. Collect 5 units of mud.
  6. Near this mud patch, inspect the base of the left-most small tree. Another Muddy Paw Print reveals your third Shiny Acorn.
  7. Head south towards the rocky outcrop. There's a narrow passage here. Be quick, as another Grumpy Squirrel patrols this area.
  8. Just past the passage, on a small ledge overlooking a stream, is a lone Shiny Acorn. Careful not to fall in!
  9. Finally, follow the stream bank west. You'll find a large, muddy bank. Collect the remaining 3 units of mud.
  10. Before exiting, look under the large, gnarled roots of the ancient tree at the very end of the stream. Your fifth and final Shiny Acorn is tucked away here.
• Strategy for Grumpy Squirrels: Their patrol patterns are predictable. Observe their movement for a few seconds before making your move. If spotted, immediately Dash away from their line of sight. They give up the chase quickly once you're out of their immediate area.

The Glimmering Grotto - Level 5: Crystal Caverns

Level 5 introduces environmental hazards and requires precise movement. Timing is everything!

• Objective: Collect 20 units of mud, find 4 Glimmering Crystals, navigate the collapsing platforms.
• Hazards:
  • Collapsing Platforms: These platforms will crumble a few seconds after you step on them. Move quickly!
  • Slippery Slopes: These steep, wet surfaces will cause your Wanko to slide uncontrollably. Avoid them unless absolutely necessary.
• Walkthrough:
  1. From the start, head straight onto the first Collapsing Platform. Immediately Dash across to the stable ground on the other side.
  2. On this stable ground, you'll find a small mud pool. Collect 5 units of mud.
  3. Look to your right. There's a narrow ledge with a faint sparkle. Carefully walk along this ledge to find your first Glimmering Crystal.
  4. Return to the stable ground. Ahead, you'll see a series of three Collapsing Platforms leading to a larger cavern. You must chain your Dash and Jump abilities to cross these quickly.
  5. In the larger cavern, there's a central mud pit. Collect 10 units of mud.
  6. To the left of the mud pit, behind a large, glowing mushroom, is your second Glimmering Crystal.
  7. Now, look for a path leading upwards to the right. This path involves a short Slippery Slope. To navigate it, gain some momentum with a Dash before hitting the slope, then immediately Jump at the end to land on the next stable platform.
  8. On this upper platform, you'll find a small, isolated mud patch. Collect the remaining 5 units of mud.
  9. Near this mud patch, nestled in a small alcove, is your third Glimmering Crystal.
  10. Finally, look down from this platform. You'll see a series of small, stable ledges leading to a lower area. Carefully drop down, one ledge at a time. At the very bottom, hidden behind a waterfall, is your fourth and final Glimmering Crystal.
• Timing Collapsing Platforms: The trick is to not hesitate. As soon as your Wanko's paws touch a platform, initiate your next movement (dash or jump). Practice the sequence in your head before attempting.
