Controls:

Menus: X confirms selections, O cancels. Directional buttons navigate modes. Square accesses Moogle mail and randomizes quick battle conditions. Start opens tutorials. Triangle allows character customization, including setting up to 3 ground and 3 aerial abilities for both bravery and HP damage. Earning AP allows abilities to be mastered, taking up less CP or learning new ones. EXP improves character stats, and PP can be used at the PP catalog.

Fighting: The analog stick controls character movement, while directional buttons adjust the camera. X is jump, O performs bravery attacks, and Square executes HP attacks. Bravery attacks build damage potential, which is then depleted by HP attacks. Abilities are context-sensitive, with different attacks performed based on movement (neutral, approaching, or backing away) for both ground and aerial actions. R blocks, L targets enemies. R + X dodges, R + O calls summons. EX Mode, activated by R + Square when the EX bar is full, grants temporary invincibility and enhanced abilities.
