Controls

Menus:

• X: Confirm
• O: Cancel
• Directional Buttons: Navigate menus
• Square: Access Moogle mail (main menu) or randomize quick battle conditions
• Start: Access tutorials
• Triangle: Select character for customization (abilities, equipment, summons)

Characters have 3 ground and 3 aerial abilities for both bravery and HP attacks. Abilities consume CP, and mastering them reduces CP cost or unlocks new ones. AP is earned through combat to master abilities, while EXP levels up character stats. PP is used to purchase items from the PP catalog.

Fighting:

• Analog Stick: Move character
• Directional Buttons: Move camera (optional)
• X: Jump
• O: Bravery attacks (different attacks based on movement: neutral, approaching, backing away)
• Square: HP attacks (depletes enemy HP by bravery amount)
• R: Block
• L: Change target
• R + X: Dodge
• R + O: Call summon

EX Mode:

• Fill EX bar with EX Force (glowing lights) and EX Cores.
• Press R + Square to enter EX Mode when the bar is full.
• Invulnerability during EX Mode entry (useful for defense).
• EX Mode grants new, character-specific abilities that increase power.
• EX Burst: Land an HP attack in EX Mode and press Square again. Involves button sequences or rapid presses, acting as a character-specific Limit Break.
