Episode 2 Section 4: The Wind Farm

As you ascend the slope towards the Wind Farm, you'll encounter Timefall. It's a good time to pick up any nearby Lost Cargo, as there's a postbox ahead where you can store or deliver it before returning to Capital Knot City.

The easiest path up the slope is on the left side, which helps avoid difficult terrain and strong winds.

To better navigate the wind, hold down L2+R2 while hiking uphill.

Gather sandalweed along the way; it's useful for stealth.

Continue uphill, scanning for a memory chip located under a rock outcropping just before Benjamin Hancock's postbox.

Deposit any cargo not intended for the Wind Farm at this postbox, as the descent is rough.

Upon cresting the slope, you'll see black strands in the sky, indicating BTs ahead.

To descend, head to the right side of the slope. Place a climbing anchor and use a rope to carefully go down.

Look for a path that splits ahead: one goes left under a log, the other continues right further down the slope. Take the right fork.

Continue down the right fork until you reach a relatively flat area, often containing Lost Cargo for Capital Knot City.

From here, go left over a small cliff, placing a climbing anchor first. Continue placing climbing anchors along your route until you reach BT territory. Remember to bring multiple climbing anchors.

Once in BT territory, the ground is difficult but not steep, and wind is less of an issue. Sneak past the BTs; sandalweed can improve your stealth.

After clearing the BT area, you'll be close to the Wind Farm. Timefall ceases as you enter the pylon area.

Soothe BB and consider using a container repair spray, as falling on the stairs can damage cargo. It's recommended to use repair spray after leaving Timefall areas.

Connecting the Wind Farm allows you to build generators with a PCC and enables supply requests and Bridge Links in online play. You can also start taking Standard Orders.

Standard Orders are crucial for increasing your connection level and are repeatable. Take any available Standard Orders and the Order for Sam, even if it maximizes your cargo weight, as you'll be returning to Capital Knot City.

When heading back up the hill, wait for Timefall to end if carrying heavy cargo. Proceed into the forest; if you haven't hit Timefall, you're likely in a clear window.

In the forest, look for a small package of Lost Cargo for "Ludens Fan." This is needed to unlock the Ludens Fan later. If you can't find it, don't worry, as other opportunities will arise.
