Wrath Core Locations

Locate all three full Wrath Cores and 20 Wrath Shards across Darksiders' world map to maximize War's wrath meter. Includes locations and tips.

Walkthrough:

1. Full Wrath Cores:
   • Purchase from Vulgrim for 10,000 Blue Souls.
   • Bring Vulgrim the Overlord Artefact.
   • In Twilight Cathedral, after riding the platform with three statues to the courtyard, turn around. Use a previously pushed block to access a balcony. Turn left, stun the demonic plant above the door with your cross-blade, enter the room, and drop down to find a chest.
2. Wrath Core Shards:
   • The Crossroads: After acquiring the Abyssal Chain, return to the building behind Vulgrim's location. In the main room, find a broken shelf on the right. Run to the platform's end, use grapple points to swing to the far wall, and enter a small hallway containing the shard.
   • Scalding Gallow: Inside the same building as Vulgrim, climb the demon growth to the second level to find a chest with a shard.
   • Scalding Gallow (with Abyssal Chain, Voidwalker, Shadowflight): On the road to Drowned Pass, upon entering, look left and place a portal on the roof pad. Head to the fan section, use the Abyssal Chain to cross the southern gap, and use the Shadowflight geyser to reach a platform with the Champion Artefact. On the roof is a second pad; activate it, drop down, and use the geyser to fly through the portal. Exit and pick up the nearby chest.
   • The Choking Grounds: Before reaching the Gatekeeper, look in the hole in the wall to the left. Head to the second floor of the building to find a chest.
   • Twilight Cathedral: In the room with three statues requiring crystal swords, after recovering two swords, a third door opens. Go through, defeat enemies to spawn a chest containing the Beholder's Key. Look in an alcove on the side of the room for a shard chest.
   • Drowned Pass: Swim under the northwestern tunnel to its end and destroy the crystal to find a chest.
   • Drowned Pass (with Tremor Gauntlet): Return to the path between Drowned Pass and Anvil's Ford. Enter the tunnel behind the Gatekeeper. Look right for a blue crystal; destroy it. Further down, explore an alcove to the left for a chest.
   • Anvil's Ford: During the contest with Ulthane, in the ruins, after angel gunners attack, kill them and look left for demon growth. Climb it, then use a second instance of demon growth nearby to descend beneath the main building to find a chest.
   • Anvil's Ford (with Abyssal Chain): On the west side of the map, find a disconnected block of land. Use grapple points to cross the gap and claim a chest.
   • The Hollows: Next to the switch to turn off the fan in the underwater tunnels.
   • The Hollows: In the large open room before the boss, when you reach the ledge with the blue crystal to raise the water a second time, do a 180-degree turn and float across the gap to open a chest.
   • The Ash Lands (with Ruin): Ride Ruin to the northern area beneath the arena entrance. Find a cave with a blue crystal inside; destroy it and head inside for the shard.
   • The Dry Road (with Abyssal Chain): Return to the road between Dry Road and Ash Lands. In the passage, when you reach the room with three demonic plants above a central rope, move to the entrance ledge, look up and right for a grapple point. Latch on and explore the small room for a shard chest.
   • Iron Canopy: In the room with a spider web floor and a pushable stone block, move the block under the demonic plant, grab the edge as it lifts, and jump to the right side of the room for a chest.
   • Iron Canopy: Just left after the first bridge collapses. Look for a destructible wooden wall to the left; behind it is a shard chest.
   • The Black Throne: In the second tower, in the room with two floating stone blocks and a moving walkway. On the balcony before the exit door, look slightly left of the exit to see a teleport pad in an alcove above. Activate it, then double jump into the nearby portal to find a shard chest.
   • Eden: Beneath the stairs leading to the Tree of Knowledge.
   • Serpent Hole (Dry Road): Visit a Vulgrim location, use the serpent hole to fast travel to the Dry Road. Turn around to see a chest behind you.
   • Serpent Hole (Anvil's Ford with Abyssal Chain): Return to the Anvil's Ford Serpent Hole. Visit Vulgrim, use the serpent hole to fast travel to Anvil's Ford. About halfway through, look left for a grapple point. Use the Abyssal Chain to cross grapple points to find a shard chest.
   • Purchase from Vulgrim for 2,500 Blue Souls.
3. Tips:
   • Collecting four Wrath Shards creates one Wrath Core.
   • Each Wrath Core increases War's wrath meter by one bar.
   • Collecting all 20 Wrath Shards and three full Wrath Cores will grant War the maximum of 10 wrath bars.
4. Reward: Increased wrath meter capacity.
