Boss: His Holiness Escribar

Phase 1

• His Holiness Escribar is a magic-based enemy with no direct attacks. He teleports around the arena and uses one of four spells, indicated by the color of the arcane symbol in front of him. He is invulnerable while casting spells.
• Attacks:
  • Energy Darts: Shoots purple energy darts at fluctuating heights. Duck or jump over them.
  • Fireball: Rains down a large amount of fireballs traveling one by one. Move back and forth across the arena to dodge.
  • Toxic Bubble: Toxic bubbles drop from the skies. These can be deflected with your sword.
  • Thunderstorm: Conjures up a lightning storm. These are telegraphed.
• Focus on staying safe and conserving your health.
• Deflecting Toxic Bubbles can deal minor damage, but focus on dodging.
• Use Sacred Onslaught (your upgraded slide attack) to quickly approach him and deal damage.
• His health can be depleted quickly; it is possible to defeat him in under a minute if aggressive.

Phase 2

• His Holiness Escribar transforms into the Last Son of the Miracle, towering above The Penitent One and shielded by metal armor. His weak point is his bloodied face, exposed under certain circumstances. The boss does not move and uses more magical attacks.
• Floating platforms, similar to blood platforms, appear between you and the boss's head. Use these to reach and target his face. These platforms disappear over time in sets and reappear in a predetermined pattern.
• Attacks:
  • Energy Pillars: Forms purple energy pillars, similar to the attack in the Tres Angustias boss fight. Two spawn on the outer edges, then two closer to the center, followed by one in the middle (or vice versa). The first one may spawn in the middle and work outward.
  • Energy Ring: Two purple orbs form near the top of the screen and release 8 energy darts that fire outwards.
  • Gold Dagger: The boss's golden dagger appears and floats around the battlefield. Attack the eyeball on the hilt. The dagger uses a slash attack, a shockwave slam attack, and summons a row of lightning bolts similar to the one in the Esdras fight. Escribar continues to attack with magic spells during this time.
• Hit the eye on the dagger enough times to make it disappear and open the boss's mask to reveal his face.
• When the boss's face is exposed, climb the platforms and use aerial attacks. Sometimes platforms spawn on either side of his face, allowing you to stand still and use heavier combos.
• Do not sacrifice your own health for damage when the boss is vulnerable.
