Master Astral Chain's Cases and S+ Ranks in Chapter 1, 2, and 3. Learn strategies for Blue Case #1-6 and Red Case #1-6, including boss fights and story missions.
This guide covers Cases and S+ Ranks for Chapters 1, 2, and 3 of Astral Chain.
Chapter 1 - Initiation
- Blue Case #1 - Training with Jin: Required by the Story.
- Blue Case #2 - Can't Be Too Careful: On Floor B3 near the Training Room, speak to a Concerned Medic for Medicine. Bring it to an Overworked Medic on B2 near the elevators to receive a Medicine and two Medicine (Mini).
Chapter 2 - Sortie
- Red Case #1 - Crisis on Grand Avenue: Required by the Story. To S+ this, aim for the "Just the Facts" reward by collecting only necessary keywords. Eavesdrop on whispering cops for "dragged through the gate", examine the handprint for "giant hands", then speak to Max and turn in keywords.
- Red Case #2 - Out of the Gate: Required by the Story. This is the fight against your first Briareos. S+ is easier with Sync Attacks. Mixing Sync Attacks scores high. Completing it under a minute yields 10,000 points for time.
- Blue Case #3 - Gate Disposal: Technically not required by the Story, but appears after the Briareos fight. Tie up the Gate directly in front of you.
- Blue Case #4 - Crime Prevention: Marked on the map near northeast Grand Avenue. Use your Legion to follow a criminal talking to an associate. Once their conversation ends and Olive gives the go-ahead, apprehend the criminal.
- Blue Case #5 - Civilian Unrest: Technically not required by the Story, encountered as you leave the area. Wrap up two civilians engaged in a fight.
- Blue Case #6 - Gate Disposal: As you progress through passages, assist an officer by tying up a Gate she is shooting.
- Red Case #3 - Into the Gate: Requires the Arm Legion. After Blue Case #6, use the Arm Legion to open a shutter gate on the back wall. Move the Legion to the back of the passage where a Gate appears. Enter it. Remove "Sword Slash" blocks and pull movable blocks out of the way with the Arm Legion. In the next area, move a block onto a non-moving elevator to lower it, then move the block into the blue space to lock it. Ride the elevator up and chain jump to the battle area. Fight Orthrus, a combined Winged and Beast chimera that pounces, swipes, and generates tornadoes. Defeating it within 30 seconds should grant an easy S+.
- Red Case #4 - Protect and Serve: Required by the Story. Use Sync Attacks for an easier clear. Fight Abs and Infantry, keeping them away from civilians for a bonus. Completing it under a minute is recommended.
Chapter 3 - Escape
- Red Case #5 - Idle Hands: Required by the Story. This is the boss fight against Enceladus. Sync Attacks and improved Legions/skills are highly recommended. Completing it under a minute yields 20,000 points for time.
- Red Case #6 - Gate Crashers: Required by the Story. Fight rebelled Legions. Without Sync Attacks initially, stronger weapons, Legions, and health are suggested. Use various Sync Attacks against the four Nemeses to boost your score. Aim to finish under four minutes for a good score.
