How to Beat Patriot (Chapter 7)

Patriot is the final boss of Chapter 7 and one of the most iconic and challenging bosses in Arknights. He is an incredibly resilient unit with high HP, DEF, and RES, and possesses multiple phases with unique mechanics that test your entire roster.

Phases & Mechanics:

• Phase 1: Patriot is immune to all damage for a short period upon deployment. He has extremely high DEF and RES, making him difficult to damage. He also applies a 'Cold' debuff to operators he attacks, slowing their attack speed and movement speed.
• Phase 2: After losing a certain amount of HP, Patriot retreats and reappears with a new set of abilities. He gains a powerful ranged Arts attack that targets operators from a distance, and his attacks apply 'Frostbite' (a stronger version of Cold). He also summons powerful 'FrostNova' enemies.
• Phase 3 (Optional/Challenge): In some challenge modes, Patriot may gain additional buffs or mechanics, such as increased damage or more frequent special attacks.

Strategy:

1. Damage Types: You'll need a mix of high physical and Arts damage. Operators with True Damage (e.g., Amiya S3, Purestream S2) are highly effective as they ignore DEF and RES.
2. Sustain & Healing: Multiple strong Medics (AoE and Single-Target) are essential to keep your operators alive through his relentless attacks and debuffs. Healing Defenders are also very useful.
3. Crowd Control: Slows and Stuns can help mitigate his damage and buy time. Operators like Angelina, Ethan, or Manticore can be valuable.
4. Debuffs: Operators who can reduce enemy DEF/RES (e.g., Shamare, Saria S3, Elysium S2) are highly recommended to make him more vulnerable.
5. Phase Management: In Phase 2, prioritize eliminating the FrostNova enemies quickly, as they can overwhelm your defenses. Use ranged operators to chip away at Patriot while he's moving.
