[WLK:F3] Final Episode and Beyond: Mysterious Figure

After you have defeated Vanitas's Lingering Spirit, a new enemy will be revealed in the Land of Departure. Head over there in any save game, and get ready for the ultimate challenge!

This boss is incredibly tough and may require multiple attempts. He has a wide array of attacks:

1. A short melee combo (blockable).
2. An extended melee combo (blockable).
3. A short charge towards you after turning blue (blockable).
4. Multiple charges across the room after turning blue (blockable).
5. A Tornado attack that scatters your commands on the ground.
6. An X-Blade attack (slowest and most avoidable).
7. A 'Pendulum' attack where he throws his weapon, pulls you in, and follows up with another attack. Getting hit by this often leads to death.
8. Summons orbs that shoot missiles 5 times. This is difficult to dodge; mash Square. Do not attack him during this. If orbs linger, get far away and prepare a Curaga spell.
9. Summons 4 clones that chase you and share his attacks. Use Fire Surge or Thunder Surge to deal with them.
10. Cloaks himself in fire, teleports behind you, and charges 6 times.
11. Casts stop on you and rewinds time to heal himself.
12. Blocks attacks with Restore Barrier and heals himself. Limit shotlocks to under 5 hits.
13. Summons a meteor that crashes into the ground.
14. Casts a spell similar to Mega Flare.
15. Casts Doom (white lines); mash X to escape.
16. At half health, he turns invisible and can use multiple attacks simultaneously, such as Tornado while cloaked in fire.

Most attacks can be avoided by mashing Square and constantly using dodge roll/dash/cartwheel when not attacking. Practicing button mashing is key.

One strategy involves using Fire Surge for damage. Another is the Mine Square strategy: Mines do not damage the Mysterious Figure but fill your Commands Gauge, allowing for a finish command if your character has an 'Ultimate' finisher. If your command meter depletes, use Zero Graviga to boost it. Mines can also make the Mysterious Figure and his clones jump over them, offering some control.
