How to Beat The Great Earthworm

Defeat The Great Earthworm boss in A Game About Digging A Hole. Learn its 'Burrow & Strike' and 'Mud Spit' attacks and find its weakness in 'Muddy Caverns'.

The 'Great Earthworm' is the first major boss you'll encounter, typically around -250 meters in large 'Muddy Caverns'. It's a massive, segmented creature that burrows through soft earth.

Phases & Attacks:

1. Burrow & Strike: The Earthworm will burrow underground and emerge to strike at your position. Watch for shaking ground to predict its emergence.
2. Mud Spit: It will spit globs of mud that slow you down and deal minor damage.
3. Segmented Charge: It will charge in a straight line, dealing heavy damage if it connects.

Weaknesses & Strategy:

• Weakness: Explosives (Dynamite, C4) deal bonus damage when it's exposed. Pickaxes are also effective against its hardened segments.
• Strategy: Keep moving! Create a large arena by clearing out mud blocks. When it burrows, place 'Reinforced Stone Blocks' in its predicted path to force it to surface. Use ranged attacks or explosives when it's exposed. Avoid its charge by moving perpendicular to its path.

Rewards:

• Earthworm Hide: Used for crafting durable 'Earthworm Armor' and 'Reinforced Backpacks'.
• Glandular Secretion: A rare alchemical ingredient for powerful stamina potions.
