Snowdin

Navigate the snowy forest of Snowdin in Undertale, encountering Sans, Papyrus, and various monsters like Doggo and Snowdrake.

You'll begin in a spooky, dark, and snowy forest. Examining the bushes reveals a hidden camera. Continue down the trail, where noises like breaking branches may startle you. You'll reach a bridge and be stopped by Sans, who initially tricks you with a whoopee cushion. He explains his job of capturing humans and warns you about his brother, Papyrus. Sans will then have you hide behind a lamp to meet Papyrus, a taller skeleton who wants to capture a human for recognition. After Papyrus leaves, you can talk to Sans further before proceeding right.

Next, you'll find a save point and a dimensional box, which allows you to store and retrieve items from other boxes. This box comes with Tough Gloves. It's suggested to store items like the Spider Donut and pie. To the north is a fishing pole.

Proceeding right, you'll encounter Sans and Papyrus again. Papyrus will declare his desire to capture you and dash off with Sans to prepare. You'll also see a sentry station made by Papyrus.

Further down the path, you'll find another sentry post with a dog head. A sign warns you not to move. Approaching the post reveals Doggo, a dog that senses movement.

Battle: Doggo
Doggo is your first encounter with blue attacks. To avoid them, stay still. He attacks with snow-worm things and a blue sword. Hold still when the sword passes. After avoiding a blue attack, you can pet Doggo to spare him, or throw your stick.

After Doggo, head east to meet Sans again, who will explain blue attacks. Head north to meet a snowman who will give you a piece of his body. You can carry this Snowman Piece or use it as a healing item. Eating it in front of him will upset him. You can return for another piece if you use it.

Go east again to find the skeleton brothers with a puzzle. You'll proceed across an electric maze, after which Papyrus will run away. Continue east.

Battle: Lesser Dog
Avoid Lesser Dog's blue attacks by staying still. Petting him will spare him, and petting him a lot will cause his neck to grow huge. You can also use your stick on him.

The next area features a Nice Cream guy where you can buy healing items. Cross the bridge to find a snowball. Pushing the snowball into the hole at the bottom will make a flag appear. You can earn gold depending on how you hit the ball. Sans will be nearby, offering friend snow, though it cannot be bought.

To the northeast are more sentry posts. Exit southeast.

Sans and Papyrus present another puzzle, a word search. Papyrus will ask if you find Junior Jumbles or crosswords more difficult; the choice does not significantly matter.

Battle: Jerry
Jerry makes attacks last longer and is obnoxious. To spare Jerry, spare other monsters first and then ditch him. Killing him is not recommended.

Go east for another save point and some spaghetti left by Papyrus, which you cannot eat. Proceed east when ready.

A sign warns of a dog marriage. A switch is located at the top right in a snow-less area. Uncovering snow at the bottom left reveals a switch with an X. Beyond the spikes, you'll encounter Dogamy and Dogaressa.

Battle: Snowdrake
This comedian uses ice puns. Laughing at his ice puns or heckling him will spare him. His attacks include long ice snakes and pointy boomerangs.

Battle: Ice Cap
Ignore Ice Cap's hat twice, then try to steal it. Compliment him when he turns into an ice cube. His attacks involve waves covering the top and bottom of the box, requiring you to find a safe spot in the middle, and ice projectiles that fall back down.
