The story of uncharted 4 a thiefs end takes place three years after the conclusion of _Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception_. Players find Nathan Drake and his wife, Elena Fisher, retired from treasure hunting and living a quiet life in New Orleans. However, their peaceful existence is disrupted when Nathan's older brother, Samuel Drake, believed to be dead, reappears. Fifteen years prior to the first Uncharted game, Nathan and Samuel were on the hunt for the infamous pirate Henry Avery, who amassed 400 million dollars from the Gunsway heist before disappearing. Samuel's return draws Nathan out of retirement to resume their quest.
