Navigate the treacherous Sanctuary of the Scion in Tomb Raider IV•V•VI Remastered. This guide details strategies for tough mutant encounters, Larson fights, and finding all pickups.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Begin by collecting the 2 sets of Magnum clips in the NE and SE corners of the room.
  2. 2
Proceed up the stairs and wait for the 2 Atlantean mutants to approach. Backhop while targeting them, using your Magnums to defeat them before they reach you.
  3. 3
At the top of the stairs, in the NW corner, find more Magnum clips (3).
  4. 4
Pull up three times to reach the back of a giant Sphinx. Go right of the sloped block, slide north, and turn west.
  5. 5
A third Mutant, similar to a panther mummy but capable of throwing fireballs, will appear. Sidejump to dodge its fireballs and defeat it with your Magnums.
  6. 6
After the Mutant explodes, collect the Magnum clips (4) from the sand and run counterclockwise around the sphinx. Collect more Magnum clips (5) between its paws.
  7. 7
Head to the pillars north of the Sphinx's right paw. Use the Save Crystal (1) here.
  8. 8
Time your run past the shredder or make a running jump to the walkway beyond it. Collect the small Medi Pack (6) near the shredder.
  9. 9
Navigate to the switch. Do not throw it yet. Throwing switches often releases flying Mutants.
  10. 10
Throw the switch, press the look button to see, jump back across the gap, and wait for the flying Mutant (4) on the raised path before the shredder.
  11. 11
As the Mutant approaches from your right, rotate left with its flight path and shoot it with both Magnums. When it lands, backhop (preferably towards the corner) to avoid its explosion. Aim for zero damage.
  12. 12
Return to the switch, turn right, and perform a standing jump to the large Medi Pack (7).
  13. 13
Safety drop off the south side.
Tips
  • This level has 7 Save Crystals, generally well-placed.
  • Flying mutants are a significant threat, often appearing on narrow ledges. They require many hits to defeat.
  • Conserve ammo; this level heavily utilizes Uzi ammo, with shotgun shells and Magnum clips being common pickups.
  • Consider skipping the trip to the invisible ledge where Uzis used to be, as it releases two more flying mutants and offers minimal ammo gain.
  • When fighting the centaur protecting the second Ankh, using Option 2 is recommended for minimal damage.
  • For the final battle against Larson, try jumping past the tile that triggers him to potentially avoid the fight. If this fails, use the shotgun to defeat him.
  • New enemies include Atlantean mutants (which throw fireballs) and flying mutants.
  • Be aware that flying mutants can sometimes get stuck in rocks, requiring you to dislodge them. Save before engaging them to avoid fatal falls.
  • 5 Trophies
