Hey there! Ready to dive into some of Tiny Glade's trickier spots? We're going to walk through 'The Hidden Paths' together, so don't worry if you're new to this. Think of me as your friendly guide, here to help you through the puzzles and make sure you don't miss any goodies. This section is all about navigating the Ancient Tree (2). It's a bit unique because it switches between a regular third-person view and a side-scrolling platformer perspective as you climb the tree trunk. Don't get too used to one view; you'll need to adapt! Walkthrough When you first enter, you'll see wooden stairs and floors. Then, the view shifts to side-scrolling as you climb the trunk. You won't be able to control the camera here, so just focus on moving forward until you reach a tunnel inside the tree. 1. As soon as you exit the tunnel, head right. You'll find a treasure chest waiting for you. After grabbing that, go left and climb a ladder. Keep heading left to find the next tunnel into the tree trunk. 2. Now, you'll enter your first puzzle room. The camera switches back to third-person and you can control it again. You'll see a two-level walkway that you can't quite reach yet, and beyond that, a staircase. Behind the staircase, there's a stone island with a pole holding four white paper targets. To the right of the walkway, there's another target pole, and to the left, a stone cliff at the same height as the upper walkway level – that's your goal. * First, use your Wind Projectile magic skill. Aim at the paper targets on the right island and hit them. This will rotate the central walkway counterclockwise, letting you access its lower level. * Hit those same targets again to rotate the walkway clockwise. Now, walk towards the targets and collect the loot that appears. * Head back to the walkway. Now, hit the targets on the island behind the stairs. This rotates the staircase. Then, hit the targets to the right of the walkway to rotate it again. * With the walkway and staircase now connected, walk up the stairs. You'll find another treasure chest up there! * Go back down to the lower level of the walkway. Hit the targets behind the stairs again, and then walk into the area *under* the stairs. Hit those same targets one more time, and you'll find yourself in the lower area of the island (directly beneath where you found the last chest). * Hit those targets *again*, walk up the stairs, and onto the upper level of the walkway. * Finally, hit the targets to the right of the walkway. This will connect it to the cliff on the left. Walking onto the cliff will trigger an enemy fight, so be ready! 3. After the fight, you'll move into the next side-scrolling area. Keep heading to the right. * You'll see some paper targets high up and to the top-right. Use your Wind Projectile skill on them. This will lower a wooden platform. Walk across it. * Climb the ladder on the right. At the top, there's a treasure chest for you. * Go back down to the wooden platform. Hit the paper targets again to raise the platform. This will let you reach a ledge with a white paint mark. Climb up the ledges along the trunk to the next level, drop down, and head right to the next puzzle room. 4. This next puzzle room features several stone islands floating in some nasty-looking purple water. Here, you'll encounter something new: a green eye-like target sitting on top of black-green goo that's blocking your path. Just past that, there's a second eye target on a cliff above. * Jump across the gaps. If you need it, grab a goo blob from the first island. Keep going until you reach a large vine platform with a green 'tree' that has three purple-pink orbs. These are bomb trees! * Bomb Trees Explained: These trees have explosive bomb fruit. You'll use them to detonate the eye targets and clear the goo. To use one, hold down the input for your Wind Projectile skill and approach the tree to pick up a bomb. Keep holding the input, aim at the target, and release to launch. The bomb will flash yellow when it's about to explode. If it lands close enough, it'll take out the eye target and the goo beneath it, clearing the way. This is a mechanic you'll see a lot in Hinterwald dungeons, so get used to it! * Once the first target is gone, repeat the process for the second eye target higher up. * After clearing both targets, jump across the gap and climb up to continue to the next area.
