Prologue

Navigate the Prologue of The Last of Us Part I. This guide will help you find Joel and understand the initial events of the game, including interacting with key items and triggering cutscenes.

This is a guide for the prologue of The Last of Us: Part 1. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to finding Joel.

You'll start as Sarah. You can interact with the phone again, but it doesn't do anything. Inspect the Birthday Card on Sarah's Desk. Exit her room and go into the bathroom to find a Newspaper that'll inform you about the current situation regarding the Infected.

Leave the Bathroom and enter Joel’s bedroom. Approach the window to witness a large explosion going off in the distance. Make your way downstairs to find the phone ringing. Pick it up and listen to what Uncle Tommy has to say. Look at the note on the fridge to find out that Joel won’t be home until late. Enter the side room to trigger a cutscene. Whilst you’re in the car you can look around and zoom in by pressing L1.

Press Square multiple times to escape the vehicle.
