|---|---|---|
| General Information: Akmodan is a crucial boss for a proper remake, and this fight is definitely tougher than previous ones, but like most bosses, there's a trick to it. The arena has a main platform in the center and two smaller ones on the sides. Akmodan teleports between these platforms. He has two main attacks, both projectiles, and thankfully, you can destroy both. The real danger here is getting knocked off the platforms and falling to your death. When Akmodan is on the middle platform, he'll walk around. If he corners you on the upper right, even with your whip out to destroy projectiles, you might still get hit and fall. To play it super safe, stick to the lower-left corner whenever he's on the middle platform. The rest is just whipping him until he's defeated. | ||
| Fireball Attack: When Akmodan appears, he'll summon dozens of fireballs near his head. They move forward randomly but have a limited range, turning back after a while. Your whip has more reach, so you should be able to handle these. | ||
| Bandage Throw: This is a pretty gross attack where Akmodan throws bandages at you. They travel the entire screen but can be destroyed. They also move up and down a bit. This is the only attack that's really dangerous if you're in the lower-left corner, so be extra careful and destroy any that get too close. |
Phew, that mummy is down! With Akmodan defeated, you're now moving on to the final stage, Stage B: Castle Keep.
