Boss Fight: Darkness Manifest

This is the final boss of the main story. You will not have access to Chaos mode during this fight.

  • Phase 1 Strategy: Use Void Knight and Lancer (or another long-range class like Sage or Ninja). The boss uses many spells; use Soul Shield to defend against all attacks (none are unblockable). Absorb magic with Void Knight to heal and attack. Use Lancer to throw spears when the boss is distant.
  • Phase 2 Strategy: Darkness Manifest uses elemental and powerful Darkness attacks, including the unblockable 'Chaos' move. Jack enters Chaos mode with infinite MP and Break gauge. Use Void Knight's MP-absorbing barrier, which becomes invincible due to infinite Break gauge and MP. Absorb all attacks until an opening appears to retaliate. Be mindful that Void Knight's shield still drains MP, but it can be regained by absorbing enemy attacks. This method is highly advised due to the boss's high damage output. Alternatively, utilize your infinite MP for endless special skills and spells.

Birth of True Chaos

  1. Walk through the halls and open the gates to the throne.
  2. Watch the ending cutscenes.
  3. After the credits, you will receive rewards, unlock the Cyclic Knight job, and unlock CHAOS difficulty.

  • During Phase 2, always lower the Void Knight barrier when the boss is about to use Chaos, as it cannot be absorbed.
