OUTSIDE UPSILON

Follow this SOMA walkthrough to find the shuttle station in the Outside Upsilon area, dealing with hostile robots and avoiding dangerous glitches.

Alright, you're in the Outside Upsilon section now. Catherine's waiting for you at Lambda, and your goal is to find a shuttle that'll get you there. Keep your eyes peeled and let's get moving.

As soon as you get going, look to your right. You'll spot a DATA BUFFER. You can overhear Amy and Stratsky talking – this is right after Carl's demise, and Amy's decided to head for the auxiliary shuttle to Theta. Just something to note as you push forward.

Keep following the path, and you'll soon encounter a hostile ROBOT with a distinctive red light. It's apparently looking for structure gel. The path to the right here is a dead end, so don't bother with it. Your best bet is to go left and make a run for it past the robot. You'll eventually come across a structure clearly marked with a sign for Upsilon. To the right of this, you'll see another robot trapped under some rocks. If you want to help it out, move the top rock to free it – this one's friendly.

Continue on the main path. You'll reach an area filled with automated drills. In the middle of it all is an underwater base, and you'll spot another hostile ROBOT trying to get inside. For now, head to the right. You'll notice a glowing orb atop a structure that will cause you to GLITCH if you get too close. Keep moving counter-clockwise around this large structure. You'll eventually find a shipwreck with another hostile ROBOT lurking nearby. Just past the shipwreck, you'll see a big pillar that's glowing with a red light from within. Staring at this pillar will also cause you to GLITCH, so be mindful of your surroundings and keep moving.
