Walkthrough for the Outside Theta section of SOMA. Find the DUNBAT, retrieve the Omnitool, and navigate the Theta zeppelin gate and airlock.
Simon and Catherine are heading to Theta to find the DUNBAT, a vehicle designed for extreme environments. This vehicle is their only hope for reaching the abyss and finding the lost ARK.
Walkthrough
- 1Retrieve the Omnitool from its cradle.
- 2Proceed through the Theta zeppelin gate and down the short ramp.
- 3At the bottom of the ramp, near a blinking red light, TOUCH the DATA BUFFER. You'll hear a recording from Emma Alvaro asking Stratsky to wake Dr. Masters, as Akers requires medical attention. Brandon Wan is also present, noting Akers was injured by shrapnel and they plan to move him to the Infirmary.
- 4Behind the zeppelin dock, you'll find the Shuttle Station entrance. The doors are warped and cannot be opened.
- 5To the right, across the tracks, you'll see three lights: a blinking red light on the left, a single white light in the middle, and a pair of white lights on the right. Go to the single white light.
- 6TOUCH the device with the blinking red light. It's Catherine thanking Sarah Lindwall for her help in standing up to Strohmeier. Catherine is described as introverted but likable, even earning Reed's approval.
- 7Follow the tracks from the zeppelin dock's data buffer to another DATA BUFFER on the right. TOUCH it. This contains a broadcast from Strohmeier regarding the ARK project, warning against Sarang's instructions to commit suicide.
- 8Across from the second DATA BUFFER, on the left, is the robot of Robin Bass. You can interact with Robin. You'll learn that Robin committed suicide out of fear, as individuals at Theta did not want two copies of themselves to survive simultaneously. The Robin Bass robot is delusional but appears to be at peace. You have the option to unplug the robot.
- 9Proceed to the gates of Theta. On the right, open the control panel. Rotate the handle on the left. Pull the handle out and rotate it again. Push the handle back in to unlock the switch on the right. Pull down the switch to open the gate.
- 10Enter through the first gate into a large airlock. Swipe the Omnitool to cycle the airlock and gain access to Theta.
