Alright, let's talk about taking down those big ol' gunboats in Sniper Elite 5. These things can dish out some serious hurt if you get too close, but don't worry, we've got a plan.

The main thing you need to aim for are the fuel tanks located at the rear of the gunboat. You can definitely pick them off with your trusty rifle scope if you've got a clear shot, but there are definitely better ways to make them go boom faster.

When you get a gunboat in your sights, you'll notice its weak points will glow bright red. That's your cue – hit those glowing spots and you're golden. Once you land enough hits on these weak points, the gunboat will explode spectacularly.

Now, a word of caution: if you get too close to the waterline, the gunboat will unleash some heavy fire your way. So, your best bet is to find some solid cover and shoot from a distance. Stay hidden, stay alive!

Here's a little trick, though: if you manage to draw the crew's attention and make them fire on your position, the gunboat will actually stop moving to try and return fire. This is your golden opportunity! While they're stopped and focused on you, unload some of your heavier weapons at the craft. It's the perfect chance to send them to Davy Jones' Locker.
