Bass or Guitar?

First off, Harmonix decided to keep the bass career mostly for multiplayer modes. If you're playing solo and want to shred on bass, you'll mainly find it in Practice mode or Quickplay. For the full career experience as a bassist, you'll want to jump into multiplayer. Guitar, on the other hand, can be a bit more challenging but offers those awesome lead solos and can really help you hone your skills. If you're aiming to sing and play at the same time, I'd totally recommend starting with bass. It's a bit more forgiving. But if you're all about mastering the game, giving guitar a shot first can really prepare you for some of those trickier bass techniques later on. Plus, there are even some secret bass solos out there if you dig deep enough!
