How to Beat King Frost

Learn the most effective strategies and weaknesses to defeat King Frost in Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth. Master this boss fight and progress through the game.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• King Frost: Weak to Fire and Wind. Resists Ice. Nulls Electric and Nuclear.

Phases:

1. King Frost will start the fight by using his signature move, 'Ice Age', which deals heavy Ice damage to the entire party and has a chance to inflict the 'Freeze' status.
2. He will then summon two 'Jack Frost' minions to assist him. These minions have lower stats but can still deal significant damage and apply status effects.
3. After defeating the minions, King Frost will enter his enraged state, increasing his attack power and speed. He will use 'Absolute Zero' which deals massive Ice damage and has a high chance of freezing the entire party.

Strategy:

• Party Composition: Recommended party members include characters with strong Fire and Wind skills, such as Junpei (Persona: Trismegistus) for Fire, and Yukari (Persona: Io) for Wind. Consider bringing a healer like Fuuka (Persona: Calamity Jane) or Makoto (Persona: Johanna) to manage HP and status effects.
• Exploit Weaknesses: Consistently use Fire and Wind attacks to exploit King Frost's weaknesses. This will build up your 'All-Out Attack' gauge faster.
• Manage Minions: Prioritize defeating the Jack Frost minions quickly to prevent them from overwhelming your party.
• Status Ailment Prevention: Equip accessories or use skills that grant resistance to 'Freeze' to mitigate the effects of 'Ice Age' and 'Absolute Zero'.
• Guard During Enraged State: When King Frost enters his enraged state, consider having your party members use the 'Guard' command to reduce incoming damage from his powerful attacks.
• All-Out Attack: Once the 'All-Out Attack' gauge is full, unleash it to deal massive damage and potentially end the fight sooner.
