Escape from Ginso Tree

Master the brutal Escape from Ginso Tree in Ori and the Blind Forest! Learn strategies for bashing, double jumping, and wall jumping to survive the rising water.

This escape sequence is absolutely BRUTAL, and if you die at any point, you have to restart the whole thing! It's a real trial-and-error situation where you can't let the water engulf you. The water rises pretty fast, but you do have enough time to get through each area if you're quick. It's just super hard if you haven't practiced it before, so please try not to ragequit! It is possible!

At the beginning, you'll mostly be bashing upwards off of lanterns. After that, it becomes about dealing with enemies and their projectiles. Your main strategy is to bash off of everything you see and fly upwards. Make sure to double jump often, and be ready to wall jump if you miss a bash. Essentially, you should be able to bash your way all the way to the top. The trickiest part is the middle section where you have to bash off enemies and their projectiles because sometimes they don't quite line up as fast as you'd like.

It's truly a trial-and-error situation and heavily depends on how well you can execute the bash mechanic. Don't get too frustrated! Treat each death as a learning opportunity to better understand the route. There are a few other escape sequences in this game, and they're all pretty tough. This is arguably the most difficult part of the game, mainly because you can't save your progress mid-escape. If you die near the end, you have to start the entire sequence over again! But remember, it IS possible, it just takes time to learn the route and build up your speed.
