Part 8

Complete walkthrough for Part 8 of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, guiding you through rescuing Ellen Pettrovich, navigating traps, and preparing for the Metal Gear confrontation.

Walkthrough:

1. After the fight with the Arnolds, use CARD 2 (F3) to exit the room via the northeast door.
2. Kill the guard ahead and proceed east.
3. In the next room with three guards, kill them and call Jennifer (F4) at 120.48.
4. Enter the north door that opens and grab the COMPASS.
5. Exit and return to the Arnold fight room. Use CARD 5 (F3) to enter the southeast door.
6. Kill the three guards inside and enter the west door.
7. Rescue the POW inside; he will mention needing a COMPASS for the SCORPION DESERT.
8. Exit and head right. Sneak past the sleeping guard between four crates and use CARD 5 (F3) to enter the door.
9. Get past the rolling pin and enter the elevator, avoiding the trap on the right.
10. Take the elevator to the first floor basement.
11. Kill the dogs in this room and exit. Schneider will warn you about gas.
12. Use CARD 3 (F3) and enter the left door. Equip your GAS MASK (F3) and follow the path to the trap room.
13. Use CARD 6 (F3) to enter the south door. This area has many traps.
14. When the room is dark, Diane will call (F4) about pitfalls. End transmission and equip the FLASHLIGHT (F3).
15. Head down via the left path. Go left by the crates to avoid the first trap, then quickly run down to avoid the second.
16. On the next screen, avoid the trap in the top center by activating it and stepping back, then quickly move to the southeast corner to avoid the connected trap. Head down.
17. In the next screen, position yourself on the south side of the north crates. Avoid the trap on the left by moving to its northeast corner, then to the southwest corner of the crates.
18. Position yourself in front of the small crate on the right and head straight down.
19. Stay on the west side of the box on the right, head down and two steps right to be near the door, avoiding the trap on the right.
20. Proceed down and use CARD 1 (F3) to enter the door into BUILDING ONE's first floor basement.
21. Kill the five guard dogs and head south. Kill the two more dogs and use CARD 6 (F3) to enter the east room.
