This guide details the locations of all miscellaneous animals in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. These animals can be found across various missions and areas, and some may require specific tools like the Thermal Goggles.

1. Baltic Hornet’s Nest: Found in Dremuchij Swampland during the Virtuous Mission, hanging from a tree on the central island. Another can be found in Dolinovodno, shot down to scare a guard.
2. Cobalt Blue Tarantula: Located in Ponizovje West on a rock near explosive barrels. Also found on a wall in Ponizovje Warehouse Exterior and on the bottom floor of Ponizovje Warehouse near barrels. Thermal Goggles are recommended.
3. Emperor Scorpion: Found on the ground in Krasnogorje Mountain Base. Also present in other Krasnogorje areas: Mountainside and Mountainside Ruins. Thermal Goggles are recommended.
4. European Rabbit: First found in Dremuchij South after Operation Snake Eater begins (backtrack after losing weapons). Also encountered during the Ocelot and The Fear boss battles.
5. Indian Gavial: Abundant in Dremuchij Swampland during the Virtuous Mission. Also found in Chyornyj Prud and can be revisited in the Swampland during Operation Snake Eater. Use the Mk22 to tranquilize them before approaching with a knife. Each kill yields three meals.
6. Japanese Flying Squirrel: Spotted climbing trees in Dremuchij East at the start of Operation Snake Eater, especially visible at night. Wait by a tree and shoot when it climbs. Also found in Graniny Gorki South.
7. Kenyan Mangrove Crab: Found in the dark Chyornaya Peschera Branch cave, near a Torch. Also located in Chyornaya Peschera Cave, Ponizovje South, and Ponizovje Warehouse.
8. Markhor: Found in Dremuchij South during Operation Snake Eater (backtrack to early Virtuous Mission areas after losing weapons). Crawl under a log to find them. Must be killed for food. Also found in Sokrovenno South/North/West (The End's area) and Tikhogornyj after The Sorrow.
9. Rat: Found in Rassvet during the Virtuous Mission, underneath the building where Sokolov is rescued. Sneak through a hole in the grass on the side of the building. Also found in Rassvet during Operation Snake Eater, Chyornaya Peschera Branch, Cave Entrance, Ponizovje Warehouse, Svyatogornyj East, and Krasnogorje Tunnel.
