This guide details how to unlock characters, weapons, items, and meta-upgrades in Megabonk. Focus on key milestones like Banish and Toggler for optimal progression.

Key Quest Milestones & Unlocks:

1. 20 Quests: Refresh achievement and meta-upgrade.
2. 25 Quests: Weapon Slots achievement and an extra weapon slot.
3. 40 Quests: Banish achievement and meta-upgrade (remove 1 item from pool per run).
4. 55 Quests: Tome Slots 2 achievement and another tome slot.
5. 100 Quests: Dicehead achievement and unlock the Dicehead character.

Other Important Unlocks:

• Key Achievement: Purchase 25 chests.
• Toggler Unlock: Purchase 40 unlocks (characters/weapons/tomes with Silver). This is a critical meta-upgrade allowing you to permanently disable unwanted items.
• Secret Areas: Discover all 5 secret areas in both the Forest and Desert maps.
• Collections: Unlock all 29 weapons and all 77-78 passive items.
• Tomes: Max level all 23 Tomes.
• Achievements: Complete all 102 Steam achievements.

Priority Strategy: Rush Banish (40 quests) and Toggler (40 unlocks) first. These meta-upgrades are essential for controlling your item pool and improving build consistency. After acquiring these, be selective about quest completion to avoid diluting your item pool.
