How to Get Dried Pumpkin Terrier Fur

Alright, so you need some Dried Pumpkin Terrier Fur for a potion, huh? Don't worry, it's not too tricky once you know what you're doing. First things first, you gotta find these little guys.

What are Pumpkin Terriers?

Think of them like fluffy tumbleweeds with glowing red eyes. You'll usually spot them in pairs hanging out around the Green Forest Plains. There are a couple chilling on the path leading up to the Witch's Garden, and another pair near the signpost east of the well. They don't care if it's day or night, so keep an eye out!

How to Get Pumpkin Terrier Fur

Now, to actually get the fur, you'll need to use your hands to grab them. When you try to interact, they'll get spooked and run off, and that little interaction wheel starts to reset. Your job is to chase them down and start interacting again before that wheel completely empties. Each time you chase them, you're filling up that bar a little more. After about three or four successful chases, you'll finally fill the wheel and harvest the fur! It'll drop right there on the ground, so don't forget to scoop it up.

How to Get Dried Pumpkin Terrier Fur

Raw Pumpkin Terrier Fur won't cut it for most recipes. You need to dry it out first using the Roaster, which is down in your basement. If you don't have one yet, you'll need to buy the Roaster Handle from Aurea. Just a heads-up, she only sells it after you've made your way through the spikey vines and reached the village.

You'll also need 150 Gold Coins for that Roaster Handle. That's a decent chunk of change! Your best bet for earning that much is probably doing one of those potion delivery side quests for Aurea.

Once you've got the Roaster set up, head back to your Witch's House and fire it up. You can pop up to four pieces of Pumpkin Terrier Fur into the Roaster at once. Remember, that means you'll need to chase down four terriers for a full batch! Unlike the Extractor, the Roaster takes a little bit of time to do its thing, but you can watch a timer count down while you wait.

It takes about 10 seconds for the fur to roast before you can collect your Dried Pumpkin Terrier Fur.
