Unlock the secrets of the Bang Bang Batting Center in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. Learn Normal and Endless Mode strategies, barrel types, and all available prizes.

The Bang Bang Batting Center minigame is introduced in Chapter 2 of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, located in Madlantis. Instead of baseballs, players hit cannons to destroy barrels. There are two modes: Normal Mode and Endless Mode.

Normal Mode

Normal Mode features four difficulties: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. To unlock higher difficulties, you must achieve an A Rank on the preceding one. The objective is to destroy barrels to reveal a lock on a chest and hit it before running out of cannonballs. There are three barrel types: Normal, Explosive, and Arrow. Players use a targeting reticule to aim shots. Hitting the cannonball at the right moment ensures accuracy, while mistimed shots can veer off course. The cannon's speed varies, requiring timing adjustments. Three bats can be used, with two unlockable via minigame points.

A Special Swing is available once per round, making it easier to hit the cannonball squarely, destroy all on-screen barrels, and break the chest lock. It can be used strategically or for a guaranteed win.

Normal Mode Difficulties and Passing Scores:

  • Beginner: 2,000 points
  • Intermediate: 4,000 points
  • Advanced: 5,000 points
  • Expert: 9,000 points

Endless Mode

Endless Mode is a single round with 10 cannonballs. The goal is to survive as long as possible. Two new barrel types appear: Cannonball Barrels, which replenish cannonballs, and Special Swing Barrels, which replenish the Special Swing. Cannonball Barrels are crucial for extending gameplay, though their appearance can be somewhat random. The Special Swing barrel only appears after the Special Swing has been used.
