Walkthrough
  1. 1
Fast travel to Free Heap and head north out of the settlement. Keep right at the first split, following the path along the river until you reach a second split at the sign for Pitchcliff.
  2. 2
Keep left at the Pitchcliff split and follow the path until you cross a small bridge. Look right to find [TD-W60] This Sucks among rusted metal.
  3. 3
Continue along the path to another split and keep right, heading north until the path forms a T at a rickety bridge.
  4. 4
Head left across the bridge and look right to find [TD-W61] Phantom Limbs in rusted metal ruins.
  5. 5
Cross back over the bridge and follow the path northwest to a campfire at a rock face.
  6. 6
Use the climbholds to ascend, then cross the ruined fuselage. Climb up at the other end and continue climbing to a clearing with Stalkers and Red-Eye Watchers. Defeat the machines.
  7. 7
Head to the north wall and find more climbholds. Continue climbing to a second area with Glinthawks, Ravagers, and Red-Eye Watchers. Defeat these machines (consider using a Ropecaster to get a Ravager on your side).
  8. 8
Cross the river and head to the east rock wall to find more climbholds.
  9. 9
Climb up for a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) and a fight with a Stormbird. Defeat the Stormbird (the Ropecaster is recommended).
  10. 10
Look westward to spot a Vantage at the western peak. Move right around the rocks to find climbholds and ascend to retrieve Vantage Point - King's Peak.
  11. 11
Drop down and use the rappel to return to the ground. Follow the path to a crater for a short cutscene.
  12. 12
Move along the wooden scaffolding to find climbholds leading up to the GAIA Prime Bunker and Sylens' workshop.
  13. 13
After a cutscene with Sylens, activate the bioscan and proceed. Before heading down, go to the room at the end of the hall to find [AD50] GAIA Prime Arrival Log.
  14. 14
Return to the hallway and climb down the elevator shaft.
  15. 15
Follow the hallway out to the crater and use the rappel to descend. Turn left and use the climbholds at the back (starting with a peg) to ascend to another hallway.
  16. 16
Follow this hallway to the room at the end to find the last Power Cell on a shelf in the corner.
  17. 17
Return to the platform you rappelled to and follow the ledge right to a collapsed hallway. Head down and zipline to a climbhold, then climb up to the other side.
  18. 18
Continue up through the next door and climb the following elevator shaft.
  19. 19
Head through the door to the next area and enter the room on the right. Pick up [AD53] Log: Margo Shen.
  20. 20
Return to the hallway and follow the large hallway down through the door on the right. Grab [AD51] Log: Charles Ronson from the desk, then head through the opening to the left.
  21. 21
Follow the tunnel down to stairs, then head up and through the hall to Elisabet Sobeck's quarters. Scan her journals on the desk to acquire [TD-Q40] Sobeck Journal, 11-19-64, [TD-Q41] Sobeck Journal, 7-16-65, [TD-Q42] Sobeck Journal, 10-31-65, [TD-Q43] Sobeck Journal, 1-15-66, and [TD-Q44] GAIA Log: 3 Feb 2065. This will also acquire [TD-Q45] Sobeck Journal, 11-19-64 R, [TD-Q46] Sobeck Journal, 7-16-65 R, [TD-Q47] Sobeck Journal, 10-31-65 R, and [TD-Q48] Sobeck Journal, 1-15-66 R as they are recovered.
  22. 22
Climb up through the opening behind the desk and follow the tunnel to a large holo area. Interact with the terminal to get [HD21] Elisabet Sobeck Memorial and learn how Elisabet died.
  23. 23
After the holo sequence, [AD52] Log: Charles Ronson, [AD54] Rest in Peace, and [AD57] Log: Travis Tate will appear on the table. Talk to Sylens.
  24. 24
Return to where you entered this room and look left of the door for a vent. Crawl through and pry open the door on the other side.
  25. 25
Pry open the next door ahead and get [AD59] Eleuthia Runtime Check.
  26. 26
Return to the memorial room and head up the stairs at the back into the room ahead. Grab [AD58] Core Control Log from the desk to the right.
  27. 27
Head out and around through the next door. Follow the hallway to another elevator shaft and grab [AD55] The Future from the ground.
  28. 28
Climb up to the next area and continue back out to the crater. Follow the ledge right to another wall you can climb.
  29. 29
Stop halfway up to grab [AD56] The Solution, then finish the climb and enter the Alpha Chamber.
  30. 30
Use the holo terminal to get [HD22] Emergency Recording and learn that Ted Faro killed the other Alphas.
  31. 31
After the holo sequence, talk to Sylens.
  32. 32
Head to the other side of the round table and grab the Master Override.
  33. 33
Exit this room and head back out to the crater. Continue down to the right and around to a zipline.
  34. 34
Zip down to the rappel platform, climb up, and leave the area the way you came.
  35. 35
Talk to Sylens in his workshop. He will explain his history with Hades and the Eclipse cult.
  36. 36
After the conversation, pick up Sylens' spear from his workbench to attach the Master Override.
  37. 37
    Grab [AD60] First Meeting.
Tips
  • Use the Ropecaster to immobilize larger machines or turn them against their allies.
  • Look for climbholds and ziplines to navigate the vertical environments of GAIA Prime.
  • The minimap (a small radar (your minimap with nearby blips and threats marked) on your HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap)) can help you orient yourself and locate objectives.
  • Utilize cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) when engaging in combat to avoid machine attacks.
  • Headshots are critical weak points on most machines.
