Complete the Into the Borderlands section of Horizon: Steel Frontiers, including Robbing the Rich, Hunters' Blind, and Sun-Steps Tallneck.
Walkthrough
- 1Return to the campfire where you first met Erend and head north across the river.
- 2Continue up the path north into the rocks to discover the Carja gate Unflinching Watch.
- 3Veer west and look to your right to see a lone tree up on a rock.
- 4Find [TD-W11] Turing Act Criticized in the grass below the tree.
- 5Head over to the campfire a stone's throw south of here.
- 6Use your Focus (a tool to highlight interactive elements) to examine the scraps of cloth on the other side of the campfire.
- 7Use Focus to highlight the tracks and follow them to a Shadow Carja outpost.
- 8Clear the archers and patrols outside the outpost.
- 9Head up to the main door and sneak through.
- 10The outpost leader is interrogating Nassan inside. Take out the lone patrolling guards.
- 11Pick a fight with the interrogators.
- 12Free Nassan and follow him out of the outpost.
- 13Talk to Nassan to finish this step.
- 14A Sawtooth and a Ravager are roaming about down here; finish up any trophies you may need with them (you'll probably have to fast travel away and back to respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death) them one or two times).
- 15Head south along the lake shore and you'll eventually come to a campfire (watch out for the patrolling Snapmaws).
- 16Just past the campfire are climb holds to climb up the canyon wall.
- 17Climb up to a tightrope and walk across.
- 18Climb up further to find Vantage - Lake Powell.
- 19Fast travel back to Meridian.
- 20Head to Ravan's house and speak with him to complete Robbing the Rich.
Tips
- Be prepared to fight a Sawtooth and a Ravager after freeing Nassan.
- Watch out for Snapmaws near the lake shore campfire.
Walkthrough
- 1Go to the Hunters Lodge and speak with Ahsis to turn in your trophies. This will complete the Hunting for the Lodge errand and start Side Quest: Hunters' Blind.
- 2Talk to Talanah at the base of the stairs and she'll ask you to meet her outside.
- 3Head outside and talk to Talanah again.
- 4She'll introduce you to Ilsadi for a tale of Glinthawk woe and ask you to meet her at Lone Light.
- 5Fast travel to Lone Light.
- 6Enter the settlement and Glinthawks will attack immediately.
- 7Fight off a couple waves of Glinthawks.
- 8Talk to Talanah and Ilsadi.
- 9Agree to look for upriver for what's causing the attacks and rappel down to the river.
- 10Follow the path along the river north until about halfway where you'll see Metal Flower - Mark II (C) just off the path to your left.
- 11Continue north until you reach an area with a ton of Snapmaw carcasses with Glinthawks flying about.
- 12Kill the Glinthawks.
- 13Use your Focus at the back of the area to find a trail leading up into the blinds.
- 14Follow the trail and climb up to a camp of hunters.
- 15Talk to Vashad, who says he has a debt and needs Snapmaw Hearts to pay it off.
- 16You will have two choices: order them to leave (fight four hunters) or compromise (find a Snapmaw Heart for Vashad or give him one you already have).
- 17Speak with Talanah at the end.
- 18She'll agree to sponsor you, leaving you to meet her back at the lodge.
Tips
- Be prepared for multiple waves of Glinthawk attacks at Lone Light.
- You can find a Snapmaw Heart near the Snapmaw carcasses if you choose to compromise with Vashad.
Walkthrough
- 1Leave the hunter camp through the exit at the east and take the path back down the river's edge.
- 2Cross the river and walk up the hill on the other side to get up on the mesa.
- 3Spot climb holds on the cliff wall in front of you and climb up to the peak of the butte here to find [TD-W34] Holo Listings.
- 4Head back down and cross the river.
- 5Follow the path northeast where you'll soon see the Tallneck.
- 6A group of Cultists have built a camp around the Tallneck's patrol area.
- 7Head right from the first entrance to a second entrance with a wooden ramp to get on the scaffolds.
- 8Kill the Cultists as you move along, careful not to raise the alarm with the Corrupter in the center.
- 9Cross the small walkway over the first entrance and kill the Cultists here.
- 10Continue around where you'll find a spot to climb up on a ramp against the cliff wall.
- 11Climb up and get to the top.
- 12Zipline back across to the scaffold at the second entrance.
- 13Jump across to the Tallneck from here and climb up.
- 14Override it at the top to clear up the map and then rappel down.
- 15The large blast from rappelling down will kill the remaining Cultists and leave the Corrupter with a fraction of health left.
Tips
- Use the scaffolds and ramps to your advantage to get to the Tallneck.
- The Corrupter can be a dangerous enemy; prioritize taking out the Cultists first.
Walkthrough
- 1Head southeast along the path from the Tallneck and you'll reach a Broadhead site where the path splits.
- 2Look south and you'll spot a gnarled old tree.
- 3Find [TD-W31] Grey Swarms Diary on the back of an old tank under the tree.
- 4Override a Broadhead here if you want a ride and take the left split in the path.
- 5Continue following the path southeast as it winds around to head northeast along a river.
- 6Cross the river at the bridge next to a Longleg site and head up into the small village Free Heap.
- 7Go up and talk to Petra at the highest platform to get Side Quest: Heap of Trouble.
- 8The ramp into the lair is just east of the village.
- 9Head over there and follow the ramp up to get a vantage on the lair.
- 10Continue along and kill the bandits as you make your way to the back of the lair.
- 11Find the three Power Cells: the first two are on the ground and the last one is on top of the back platform.
- 12Use the handholds on the cliff wall just to the right of the platform to climb up to the last Power Cell.
- 13Once you have the Power Cells, return to the ground. An escaping bandit will tell you that the town is done for.
- 14Head back through the lair and over to the Scrapper Den, making sure to keep to the upper platforms for ease.
- 15Take out the Scrappers here and search the three scrap piles for the weapon parts you need.
- 16Return to Free Heap and talk to Petra again so she can build her weapon.
- 17The Bandits will attack and Petra will have you fight them with her Oseram Gun.
- 18Pick up the Oseram Gun and use it to kill the attacking Bandits.
Tips
- Override a Broadhead for faster travel to Free Heap.
- Keep to the upper platforms in the Scrapper Den to avoid unnecessary fights.
- The Oseram Gun is powerful; use it to quickly eliminate the attacking Bandits.
