------DEBILITAS------ (HG10.1)

Learn the advantages, disadvantages, and attack strategies for defeating Debilitas, the first pursuer in Haunting Ground. Master his moves to survive.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Debilitas is a challenging first pursuer due to his strength and early-game timing.
• Hewie is less obedient and helpful early on, making escape from Debilitas's lethal attacks difficult.
• Debilitas is very stupid and can be outsmarted by hiding.
• He has loud footsteps, making him easy to hear approaching.
• He can be scared away after taking enough damage before the lunar refraction scene.

Phases:

1. Debilitas appears frequently after Fiona falls off the balcony, often while puzzles are being solved.
2. The boss battle against Debilitas is described as REALLY difficult if the player doesn't know what they are doing.

Strategy:

• Disadvantages to exploit: His arms can glitch through doors, hitting you even when crouching behind them. He is large and can block tight corridors. He doesn't always step on Magnesia traps placed at the bottom of ladders due to his wide stance. He is stronger than many other pursuers.
• Advantages to exploit: He sometimes stops to sniff Fiona or call her name instead of attacking, providing escape time. He is easily fooled when Fiona hides under beds or similar places. He doesn't usually take frustration out on Hewie.
• Attacks and Avoidance:
  • POWER ATTACK: Debilitas raises both fists and pounds them down. Avoid by running out of the way, especially if Fiona is on the ground.
  • LETHAL ATTACK: Debilitas grabs Fiona in a crushing hug. Call Hewie for help; he may jump on Debilitas, allowing Fiona to escape, though she may panic.
  • TRIPLE ARM SWING: Debilitas throws three punches. Run away to avoid.
  • SINGLE PUNCH: Debilitas swings one heavy punch. Stay well out of the way.
• General Tips: Hiding under beds is effective as he won't look there unless overused. Be aware that he appears more frequently after certain events, complicating puzzle-solving and evasion.
