    Your first objective is to position a Rhino tank directly in front of your base. Request a Rhino from the drop pad north of your base and drive it over. ODST soldiers will appear to defend it, but you cannot control them.

    Beware of constant Banshee attacks. Destroying 50 Banshees awards a skull located in a hanger behind the base.

    To aid defense, garrison the two reactors near the base (one north, one south) for early technology upgrades.

    The second Rhino position is west-southwest of the first. Destroy the Covenant base camp in that area to reveal the location and place the second Rhino.

    Anders will request more Rhinos. A third location requires you to drop in with opposition. Summon a Pelican, clear the landing pad, and place a Rhino there. This will temporarily collapse the shield.

    More Rhinos are needed, and Locusts will appear. These are mini-Scarabs and dangerous to infantry. Use Cobra or Scorpion tanks against them.

    The last two Rhino positions will be heavily armored. Prepare a larger force, around 20 population, for these. If you have a captured Locust, it will be very helpful.

    Deploy the final two Rhinos. With the shield down, you control the MAC cannon. Focus on destroying air defenses and shield generators. Serina will then destroy all remaining targets with a full MAC cannon burst.
Tips
  • Garrisoning the two reactors near the base provides early technology upgrades, making defense easier.
  • Cobra tanks and Scorpions are the best offense against Locusts.
  • A population of around 20 is recommended for the final two heavily armored Rhino positions.
  • If you capture a Locust from the Covenant, it can be very effective in later stages.
