C2.1 - XARDAS' TOWER, THE VALLEY, AND ROAD TO KHORINIS

POINT OF INTEREST: A Strange Amulet

An amulet appears at the start of Chapter 2 in an otherwise empty area on the opposite side of the valley outside Xardas' Tower. To find it, follow the topmost mountainside with it on your left. When the top of the bandit cave is visible across the way, keep following the clearing to the left. You will pass the ledge where lizards were encountered and reach a grassy knoll covered by pine trees. The amulet is in the middle of these trees on the ground.

  • If you are a Paladin, you will find an Amulet of Agility (+15 Dexterity).
  • If you are a Mercenary, you will find an Amulet of Life (+15 Max HP).

C2.2 - CITY OF KHORINIS

QUEST: Evidence

Lord Hagen's main task for Chapter 2 is to bring him proof of dragons in the Valley of Mines. This quest disappears without fanfare or XP in Chapter 3 after returning to Khorinis.

QUEST: Fernando's Business

Fernando, often found talking to Gerbrandt outside the church, will give you a quest after the chapter change. He is interested in magic ore and wants information about the Valley of Mines. To complete this quest, you must finish the main task in Chapter 2 ("Diggers and Ore"). You can return to Fernando in Chapter 3 to report your findings.

  • Reward: Ring of Liveliness (+10 Max HitPoints) and +150 XP upon completion in Chapter 3.
