Traction and Stability Control (TCS/STM) is an assist designed to help you avoid spinning out or leaving the track. However, it can occasionally impede your driving performance. For instance, if you attempt a sharp right turn, the game might intervene by preventing the maneuver, interpreting it as a spin-out, which could allow an opponent to overtake you.

Newer players may find this assist beneficial. As you gain experience, it is generally advisable to disable it, as you will often achieve better lap times and control without it.
