Getting Your Bearings

When you first start, you'll be given a few starter cars. Don't feel pressured to pick the 'best' one right away. Honestly, they all handle a bit differently, and you'll be earning new ones and unlocking upgrades before you know it. Just pick one that looks cool and get out there!

Your First Races

The early races are designed to teach you the ropes. You'll encounter different race types like Street Races, Dirt Races, and Cross Country. Don't worry about getting first place every time. Focus on finishing, learning the tracks, and getting a feel for how your car handles. The game will give you prompts for things like braking points and racing lines – pay attention to those!

Understanding the Map

The map is huge, and that's part of the fun! You'll see icons for different events, challenges, and collectibles. For now, focus on the main story missions and the races that are closest to you. You can always fast travel later once you've discovered more of the map, but exploring on your own is a great way to find hidden roads and unique challenges.

Car Upgrades and Tuning

As you complete events, you'll earn Credits (that's the in-game money) and sometimes Car Parts. You can use these to upgrade your cars. For your first few cars, just go for the 'Pro' upgrades in the Autoshow – they offer a good balance. Don't dive too deep into manual tuning just yet; that's something we can explore once you're more comfortable.

The best way to learn is by doing. Try different cars, different race types, and different approaches. Messing up is part of the process.
