Feral Link and Monsters Menu

To use a monster's unique ability, fill its Feral Link gauge, located below its HP gauge.

Once full, press Square to unleash the ability.

Complete the Quick Time Event (QTE) that appears to gain a Synchronisation Boost, increasing the skill's effectiveness.

Defeated monsters have a chance to drop their crystal, adding them to your menagerie. Not all monsters can be captured.

In the Monsters menu, you can add decorative items, rename monsters, infuse monsters with others, or release them.

Infusing monsters is key to improving your favorite monsters.

To improve a monster's stats, go to its Infusion submenu and select a monster with a relevant passive ability (e.g., HP+15%).

Infuse the chosen monster into your target monster to increase its stats.

Monsters learn battle and passive abilities as they level up their Crystarium. For example, a monster learns HP+10% at level 10 and can cast Haste at level 20.

A single monster can have up to 10 passive abilities.

In the Paradigm Pack menu, you can add captured monsters to three slots.

The Customize option lets you create paradigms by assigning roles to Serah and Noel. Monsters can only have one role.

Press Square on a paradigm to set it as your default.

Press Triangle to save your paradigm selections in one of three slots.

The 'Tune' option within paradigm settings allows you to adjust party member behavior: 'Normal' uses default role behavior, 'Cross' prioritizes single-target actions, and 'Wide' prioritizes area-of-effect actions.

You can also auto-create paradigms based on attacking power, defensive positioning, or a balanced approach.

Paradigms can be deleted, but the default paradigm cannot be removed.
