Hey there! So, you've found yourself in a bit of a pickle, huh? Turned into a vampire in The Elder Scrolls VI? Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. This guide is gonna walk you through finding a cure, step by step. Think of me as your buddy, here to make sure you don't miss any crucial details.

First things first, you'll need to find someone who can help you start the process. The main guy everyone points you towards is Raminus Polus at the Arcane University in the Imperial City. Head straight into the Arch-Mage's Lobby when you get there; he's usually hanging out on the first floor.

When you talk to Raminus, ask him about the 'Cure for Vampirism.' He'll point you towards Count Hassildor in Skingrad, telling you to ask him for help with your... condition. So, pack your bags and head west to Castle Skingrad.

Once you're at Castle Skingrad, you'll need to find Hal-Liurz. Tell her you absolutely must see the Count, even if you don't have an appointment, and that it's about vampirism. You might have to wait in the County Hall for a bit, so use the 'Wait' function if things don't kick off right away. Soon enough, Count Janus Hassildor will show up. He's also looking for a cure, but for his wife who's in a coma because she hasn't fed. Agree to help him find the ingredients, and he'll send you on your way.

Your first major task is to find a woman out in the wilderness along the Corbolo River, which is east of the Imperial City and south of Cheydinhal. As you're searching the riverbanks, you'll stumble upon Drakelowe, a lonely ranch. This is where you'll find Melisande, the woman you need to talk to about the cure. She'll help you out, but first, she needs a small favor: five Empty Grand Soul Gems.

Here's where the real scavenger hunt begins. The game will mark three specific dungeons on your map that now contain Grand Soul Gems:

• Crayfish Cave: This one's located directly south of Melisande's house. Head into the cave, follow the water southwest, then southeast to find a ramp. Go north, and a rock wall will magically move, letting you go further north. Wrap around the path, and in a dead-end room, you'll find your first Grand Soul Gem sitting on a rock.
• Nornal: Head west from Melisande's. Go downstairs, turn the corner, and in the big room, go right. Press the button on the wall behind a crate – it'll open a secret entrance on the northeast wall. Keep going, watch out for a tripwire that triggers a trap, and head northeast. A wall will lower, revealing a new hallway. Grab the Grand Soul Gem in the corner.
• Squandered Mine: This one's a bit northeast of Melisande's. Head down the steps, avoid the tripwire that releases spiked balls, and go to the northeast corner to find a tunnel. Through the wooden door, you'll find bandits. Keep pushing through, and when you have a choice of two paths, take the southeast tunnel. In the next room, go through the door to Squandered Mine Snake Works. Be careful in the fourth room – another tripwire triggers a log trap. Go around the top of the room, skip the pit below, and find the tunnel to the northwest. After exiting the pit, head southeast to find another tunnel system. Take the Grand Soul Gem at the very end of this tunnel.

Now, you'll need two more Empty Grand Soul Gems. The game mentions you can find these in a few other spots:

• The Arcane University, in the Mages' Quarters.
• Chorrol Mages Guild – there are two in glass cases there.
• Drakelowe, in the Basement.

Also, if you're Level 11 or higher, there's a small chance (less than 5%) you'll find them in random dungeon chests. And once you hit Level 12, any merchant selling magical items might have them in stock.

Once you've collected all five Empty Grand Soul Gems, head back to Melisande at Drakelowe and hand them over. She'll then give you a list of other ingredients you need: six cloves of Garlic, five Nightshade leaves, and two shoots of Bloodgrass.
