Learn about Deadlock factions like Re'lu, Tarth, and Uva Mosk, plus tips on technology and building demolition.

Re'lu Faction:

The Re'lu possess a subvert special mission for their scout units. They can assault a colony by hurting its morale, potentially leading to the colony's decay. Their Command Corps has a mind control ability; if successful in battle, the affected unit switches sides to the Re'lu faction permanently. Their weakness is that their military units are vulnerable to attacks where numbers prevail, as they can only control enemy units so quickly, keeping Re'lu numbers small.

Tarth Faction:

The Tarth behemoths have the most powerful units in the galaxy, allowing them to hold and take ground with ease. Numbers are only of much help against them. However, their ships are of a terrible build and sink very easily. Offensively, the Tarth excel at taking more Food from their farms than any other race to feed their powerful armies. They can use their Juggernaut ability to demolish buildings quickly. Their only true disadvantage is the weak ability of their spies due to their large size.

Uva Mosk Faction:

The independent Uva Mosk thrive in living with nature. Their main advantages include increased natural resource gathering ability, coupled with their Command Corps' special ability, the Shaman Dance. This ability has a chance to turn a territory square into a special resource square, boosting resource gathering. All their military units benefit from an increased hit ratio, aiding their numbers count. All infantry units can act as spies. Their military units have inferior maintenance costs, countering their singular disadvantage: collecting less taxes from colonists due to their independent nature.

Little Tips & Little Tricks:

Technology Requirements: Always pay attention to required technologies for units and buildings. If a unit requires Electronic Parts but a different technology, you must purchase the Electronics to assemble the unit.

Upgrading Buildings: Upgrading buildings costs only labor, not money or additional resources beyond the original investment. If low on labor or resources, taking the longer upgrade path can help your economy later.

Bulldozing Buildings: When you bulldoze a building, you recover 50% of its value, not its original investment. For example, bulldozing an upgraded University (Collective Tech Lab) returns 50% of its value, including components like Electronic Parts that were part of the upgrade but not the initial construction. Regardless of materials used (Iron, Endurim, Steel, or Triidium), bulldozing a building always returns the Iron value in Iron.
