Level 16: Hangin' Out

In the first room, defeat the flamethrower enemy and two sweeper enemies when the flamethrower is off.

Proceed to a pool with an eel; jump on the platform, slide, and jump through the metal door.

Break two boxes, then watch out for fast-approaching sweeper enemies; jump over or kill them.

Pass a rolling barrel, then another, and then two more side-by-side.

In the next room, break eight boxes past a hole in the floor, then drop down.

Break the checkpoint, then climb the blue grating. Avoid the first enemy moving left and right by continuing forward after it passes.

Pass two more enemies by going by them when they are on the sides and about to turn around.

Climb through the big metal door. Break the first box on your left.

On the right, an enemy moves back and forth; follow it when it turns around to head in your direction.

Pass two more enemies using the same technique. At the end of the blue grating, jump down onto the platforms.

Go through the metal door and break the two boxes behind it.

In the pit with two moving enemies, jump over when they are in the pit.

Past them are three large stacks of boxes; break normal boxes and avoid TNT.

Behind these is another pit with moving enemies; jump over when they are in the pit and avoid the enemy on the other side.

Jump up and break open the checkpoint.

Jump onto the blue grating and move forward, breaking the box.

Wait for the enemy in the area to go by, then climb past.

After the Wumpa Fruit area, pass another left-and-right moving enemy once it passes in front of you. Break the box.

Pass through the metal door and wait for the next enemy to go by, then move quickly.

Pass two more enemies: go past the first when it's turning around, and the second once it goes by you and follow it. At the end of the blue grating, jump down.

Inside the tunnel, jump over the first pit and avoid the enemy on the left.

Jump over two more pits with moving enemies when they are in the pit. Avoid the enemy on the right after the second pit.

In the room with boxes and a hole, break all boxes and fall down.

You land in water with a checkpoint and the CRYSTAL. Get both. You can go forward or to a SECRET AREA by going back through the water.

Secret Area: Go back through the water and jump down the hole on the other side. In here, two spiked enemies circle a ? platform. Kill them and stand on the platform for the BONUS STAGE. Jump over Nitro boxes and enter the tunnel. Kill two spiked enemies, pass a barrel, and exit. Break two boxes, jump on the spiked enemy to kill it, and hit the Green ! Box. Enter the next tunnel, pass the barrel, and kill two spiked enemies. Jump onto the platform in the pool of water and ride it to the door on the other side. This leads to the secret warp room with level 27 opened.

Bonus Stage: Jump across platforms to a stack of boxes. Break normal boxes and body slam reinforced ones. Jump on the metal arrow box to bounce over Nitro to a platform above. Jump to metal arrow boxes, then to metal boxes. Walk across TNT boxes and jump up to break boxes above. Quickly jump to bounce boxes on the right, bounce between them, and then bounce onto the ? platform to get back to the level.

From the Crystal room, go forward through the metal door to continue the normal path.

Jump over the first pit and avoid the enemy on the left.
