Hey there! As you play through Crash Bandicoot 4, you're gonna run into some pretty neat special platforms that can whisk you away to secret areas or bonus stages. It's super important to know what they do, so let's break 'em down so you don't miss out on any goodies!

Question Mark Platforms: These are your golden tickets to bonus stages! You'll usually see a big question mark on them. Just hop on, and bam! You're off to a special area filled with Wumpa Fruit, extra lives, and most importantly, boxes you need to smash to earn gems. Sometimes, instead of a platform, you'll find a question mark on the floor. Stand on that, and a hatch will open up for you to fall into. Keep an eye out for these, as they're key to collecting everything!

Gem Platforms: These platforms are a bit trickier because they only work once you've collected a specific colored gem. The platform itself will be the same color as the gem you need. Once you've got the right gem in your inventory, jump on the matching platform, and it'll transport you to a new section of the level. These often lead to hidden paths or areas with more collectibles.

Skull Platforms: These platforms have a skull and crossbones on them, and they're a real test of skill! They only activate if you manage to reach them without dying *at all* in that particular level. If you make it there alive, jump on, and you'll be taken to a more challenging part of the level, usually with a silver gem waiting at the end. Heads up: If you die in the section the skull platform takes you to, you can usually hop back on the platform to try again. But if you die *before* reaching the skull platform, you won't be able to get back on it for that run, so be extra careful!
