Level 16: Hangin' Out

In the first room, defeat the flamethrower enemy and two circling sweeper enemies when the flamethrower is off.

Proceed to a pool of water with an eel. Jump onto the platform, then slide and jump through the metal door into a tunnel.

Break the two boxes, then watch out for fast-approaching sweeper enemies. Jump over or kill them.

Pass the first barrel rolling up the tunnel, then the second.

Pass the next two barrels that are side-by-side when they are both on the sides.

In the next room, break all eight boxes past the hole in the floor, then drop down.

Break the checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death), then climb along the blue grating until you reach an enemy moving left and right. Continue forward after it passes to get by safely.

Past that, you will encounter two more enemies moving back and forth. Go by them when they are on the sides and about to turn around.

Climb through the big metal door. Break the first box on your left.

On your right, an enemy moves back and forth. Follow it when it comes near you and turns around to head in your direction, then get to safety.

You will come to two more of these enemies; use the same technique to get by them.

At the end of the blue grating, jump down onto the platforms below.

Go through the metal door and break the two boxes behind it.

When you reach a pit with two enemies moving up and down, jump over it when they are in the pit.

Past them are three large stacks of boxes. Break the normal boxes, avoiding the TNT before it explodes.

Behind these boxes is another pit with enemies moving up and down. Jump over when they are in the pit, and avoid the enemy on the other side.

Jump up and break open the checkpoint.

Jump onto the blue grating and move forward, breaking the box in your way.

Wait for the enemy in the next area to go by you, then climb past.

After the area with Wumpa Fruit, pass the enemy moving left and right once it passes in front of you in either direction, then break the box.

Pass through the metal door and wait for the next enemy to go by. Move quickly to get past it.

There are two more enemies. Go past the first one when it is turning around, and pass the next one once it goes by you and follow it.

At the end of the blue grating, jump down onto the platforms below.

Inside the tunnel, jump over the first pit and avoid the enemy on the left.

Jump over the next two pits, each with enemies moving up and down, when the enemies are in the pit.

After the second pit, watch out for another enemy on the right.

In the room with boxes and a hole, break all boxes and fall down the hole.

You will land in a pool of water with a checkpoint and the CRYSTAL. Collect both.

To access the SECRET AREA, go back through the water and jump down the hole on the other side. This opens level 27 in the secret warp room.

To continue the normal path, go forward through the metal door.

In the secret area, kill the two spiked enemies circling a ? platform. Stand on the platform to access the BONUS STAGE.

Jump over the Nitro boxes to enter the tunnel. Kill the two spiked enemies inside.

Pass the barrel when it is on one of the sides of the tunnel.

Exit the tunnel and break the two boxes. Jump onto the spiked enemy behind them to kill it, then hit the Green ! Box.

Enter the next tunnel, pass the barrel when safe, and kill the two spiked enemies.

Jump onto the platform in the pool of water with an eel, and when it moves close to the door on the other side, slide and jump to reach it. This is the end of the level.
