- 1Crash Bandicoot is abducted by Doctor Neo Cortex, who claims he has turned over a new leaf and needs Crash to collect 25 'Slave Crystals' scattered across Earth to harness the power of a Master Crystal and save the planet.
- 2Crash's sister, Coco Bandicoot, is suspicious of Cortex and tries to uncover his true intentions.
- 3Doctor N. Brio, Cortex's former assistant, contacts Crash and urges him to collect gems instead of crystals to destroy Cortex.
- 4N. Brio sends henchmen like Ripper Roo, the Komodo Brothers, and Tiny Tiger to stop Crash, but they are all defeated.
- 5Cortex tasks N. Gin with collecting the crystals from Crash, but Crash defeats N. Gin as well.
