A complete walkthrough for The Lost Village in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, detailing enemy encounters, item locations, and the Flying Armor boss fight strategy.
Walkthrough
- 1Upon entering The Lost Village, you'll encounter Skeletons and Bats. Bats spawn infinitely, making them a good source for souls. Skeletons also drop souls (Skelesouls).
- 2Cross the suspension bridge to the next screen.
- 3Destroy the lamp on the right for an item. Continue and defeat the large Peeping Eye.
- 4In the next room, pick up the Short Sword and equip it.
- 5Drop down, head right to grab a Potion, and proceed to the next room to save your game. These save rooms also heal you.
- 6Climb back up the platforms, ignoring the door to the left for now, and head right.
- 7In the next room, you'll face a Warg (defeat with three quick sword swipes), unlimited Zombies, and an Axe Armor. The Axe Armor throws axes at high or low elevations; duck under high axes and jump over low ones. Obtaining the Axe Armor soul is highly recommended.
- 8Head to the next room where you meet Yoko and Julius. After an exchange, you receive the Magic Seal 1.
- 9Backtrack the way you came, defeating Zombies. When you reach the screen where you found the Short Sword, drop down to the previously ignored door.
- 10Yoko will explain that a Magic Seal is needed for the upcoming monster. Enter the door to face the boss.
- 11After defeating the boss, you'll need to quickly draw the magic seal with your stylus.
- 12After the boss fight, collect the Flying Armor soul, which reduces falling speed.
- 13Replenish HP/MP with the oversized orb. Save your game in the room two screens to the right.
- 14Return to the boss room and enter the left door.
- 15Drop down one step and jump to the platform on the left using the Flying Armor soul. Grab the Claymore.
- 16Head to the next room and hop left to grab the Spear.
- 17Drop to the platform to your right and fall through it. Defeat the Armor Knight to your left and enter the next area.
Boss: Flying Armor
- Stats / Weaknesses: The Flying Armor is a floating creature with two hovering swords that act as a barrier. Its swords flash before attacking.
- Phases:
- When swords face you and flash, they lock and fire straight. Avoid their path.
- When swords point diagonally up and flash, they circle to squish you. Jump over them.
- The boss is defenseless when swords are not attacking.
- Strategy:
- If you don't have the Axe Armor soul, attack the boss when it's defenseless.
- If you have the Axe Armor soul, use it to attack from a distance, hopping slightly to avoid attacks. Each axe hit deals significant damage and can hit multiple times.
- Use a Potion if your HP falls below a critical level.
- Remember to draw the magic seal quickly after defeating the boss.
Tips
- Destroy all lamps, candles, and enemies you encounter throughout the game for items.

- The Warg soul is also useful if properly utilized.
- The Axe Armor soul is highly recommended for the Flying Armor boss fight.
