Guide to navigating the Silenced Ruins in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Learn enemy patterns, boss strategies, and find hidden paths to progress.

Alright, welcome to the Silenced Ruins! This place might feel super familiar if you've played the original Castlevania – the music, Vampire Killer, is a total classic and it's meant to evoke that first level vibe. It's pretty straightforward, so don't stress too much!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Start by heading right. You'll run into a bunch of enemies, just take 'em out as you go.
  2. 2
In the next room, you need to descend. Keep going down until you spot a door that looks out of reach. Don't worry, you'll need to use your double jump to get to it.
  3. 3
Now, you'll face a Gorgon. This big golden bull can poison you, so be careful! The best way to handle it is to jump on top of it and start tossing Mandragoras. This will take care of the Gorgon and any other enemies hanging around.
  4. 4
After that, head into the next room and go through the hole above you. As you rise, you'll encounter a Dead Crusader. These guys are tough because they block almost everything. Your best bet is to attack them while they're in their attack animation, or you can try hitting them from below. Find what works best for you!
  5. 5
Once you reach the very top, you'll find a Larva. You need to attack its head to defeat it. After it's down, use your double jump to reach the top platform.
  6. 6
Head right from there, and you'll find two Waiter Skeletons. They'll throw curry at you – seriously, dodge the curry! Make sure you grab the Waiter Skeleton soul if you can, then head through the door to the next area.
Tips
  • The Dead Crusaders are a pain, but remember you can hit them from underneath when they're not actively blocking.
  • Don't underestimate the Waiter Skeleton's curry attack – it's surprisingly annoying!
  • Grabbing the Waiter Skeleton soul can be really useful for later.
