Level 2 – Clock Tower of Untimely Death

BLK 2-01: Start by jumping the gap to the right to find a large Heart. Head up, defeating Skeletons and Knights. Grab the Pocket Watch sub-weapon and Sacred Water. Navigate the clock pendulums to the right, being careful of the large pit on the second pendulum.

BLK 2-02: Ride the large grey gear in the middle to cross the screen, jumping off as it descends. Head up the stairs, kill the Skeleton Swordsman. In the vertically-scrolling screen, dodge Medusa Heads and grab the Axe sub-weapon from a candle on the far right. Use another gear to cross higher up. Proceed through the door.

BLK 2-03: Ride the gear to the lower right, but wait to jump to avoid falling. Break the upper right wall to find a Double Trouble block. Continue upwards to another vertically-scrolling screen filled with Medusa Heads. Carefully jump between gears to the left and then head up, making precise jumps. Use a gear further up, jumping immediately left. Heal with Leg of Werewolf from the right wall on the next screen. Gather candles and head left for the boss.

BOSS: Nasty Grant: Grant throws daggers and can change planes. Use Sacred Water by jumping to the center platform and throwing it as he descends for massive damage. Alternatively, whip him and use sub-weapons, repositioning to the left if needed.

Post-Boss: After defeating Grant, you'll have a choice to take him with you. He is fast and helpful. Continue to exit the Clock Tower.
