Bosses

Master the boss fights in Castlevania: Bloodlines with our detailed guide. Learn strategies, weaknesses, and tips for defeating Skull Knight, Nasty Grant, Cyclops, Giant Bat, and Echidna.

Bosses:

1. Skull Knight
   Location: Level 1 – BLK 1-04
   Strategy: Skull Knight's only attack is a downward sword slash. He constantly walks towards you. Use Sacred Water or Axe sub-weapons, throwing them while backing away. Whip attacks can also be used, but retreat when he gets close. It's possible to defeat him with minimal damage taken.
2. Nasty Grant
   Location: Level 2 – BLK 2-03
   Strategy: Nasty Grant throws daggers when on the same plane. Utilize the multi-level arena to force him to change planes, allowing for attacks. Sacred Water is highly effective; throw it from the center platform as he jumps down. This fight can be made trivial with Sacred Water. After defeat, a choice is presented to recruit him.
3. Cyclops
   Location: Level 3 – BLK 3-04
   Strategy: Recommended to fight as Trevor. The Cyclops walks and occasionally lunges with its mallet. Stand on the lower orange block on the left and whip it as it approaches. Hop to the far left blocks to avoid its head when it gets close, then repeat. Using Sacred Water from the higher left blocks is an easier method, as the Cyclops walks into the flames. Collect the Magic Crystal afterwards.
4. Giant Bat
   Location: Level 4 – BLK 4-03
   Strategy: The Giant Bat splits into smaller bats when hit. Use Banshee Boomerang, Axe, or Dagger sub-weapons, especially with Double Trouble or Triple Threat Blocks, to hit multiple bats at once. The boss flies between sides of the arena; use the mud pit to cross. You can afford to take some hits to damage the boss.
5. Echidna
   Location: Level 4A – BLK 4-0C
   Strategy: Echidna attacks with snakes shot from a bow and a hypnotic wave that petrifies you. Dodge snakes by crouching. If using Grant with Daggers, attack from the ceiling. With Trevor or Sypha and a full life meter, get close and mash the attack button.
