King Beltharun Boss Guide

Master the King Beltharun boss fight in Blades of Fire. Learn his attack patterns, weaknesses, and strategies to overcome this challenging encounter in Aecides' Domain and beyond.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• King Beltharun is a challenging boss, more so than regular enemies.
• A weapon with good parry capabilities is useful against his Saber Combo.
• He tends to avoid open areas, making close-quarters combat a frequent scenario.

Phases:

1. Encounter 1 (Aecides' Domain): Found in Kar-Lethel Swamp, ambushing you near the Coastal Wall stairs while chasing the Vexer.
2. Encounter 2 (Tok's Kingdom): Located in The Roggs Mountains, within a narrow hallway after returning Dhyrias’ Hammer to the statue.
3. Encounter 3 (The Niveous Realm): Found in The Royal Palace, east of the Tidespan Bridge anvil.

Strategy:

• Saber Combo: A series of three-to-four swings. Can be parried with high parry stats or dodged by moving behind him. He may add a thrust.
• Fire Slash: Imbues his Saber with fire for a sweeping slash dealing heavy damage. Create distance when you see his Saber ignite.
• Eruption: Causes liquid lava to erupt around him in a large area. This is his most dangerous attack due to its speed and the limited safe space on many battlefields.
• Fireballs: Shot when his Saber is on fire, at close and mid-range. Can be mixed into other attacks and are difficult to avoid.
• Flame Slam: A variation of the Fire Slash used at mid-far range. This attack leaves him open and is a good opportunity for counter-attacks while maintaining distance from potential Eruptions.
• General Tactics: Avoid fighting him head-on to limit his Fireball opportunities. Focus on managing the Eruption attack, especially in confined spaces. His regular Saber Combos are manageable with dodging or parrying.

• Defeating all three King Beltharun encounters unlocks the Forger Scroll for the Scimitar Saber.
