Yokai Cam

Learn how to use the Yokai Cam in Yo-kai Watch! Discover hidden Yokai, earn rewards, and complete challenges by taking pictures of people's faces.

The Yokai Cam is an extra feature unlocked during the Enter Jibanyan! chapter of the story, appearing on the main title screen. When selected, your 3DS camera activates. The objective is to take pictures of people's faces. If successful, you'll see a Yokai that is inspiriting them. While seemingly random, certain faces might consistently reveal the same Yokai.

Encountering a new Yokai through the Yokai Cam will add them to your Medallium, but only as a sighting, not a befriended medal. You still need to befriend them through normal gameplay. However, using the Yokai Watch feature rewards you with items at certain milestones and upon completing various challenges. These rewards can be collected at the Lambton Post Office in Uptown Springdale. A list of rewards can be found in the Other Sidequests section of this guide.
