How to Beat Pirate Base Raids

Successfully raid pirate bases in X4: Foundations: destroy defense drones and turrets, target docking modules, and consider capturing with marines.

'Pirate Base Raids' are smaller-scale but still challenging encounters. Pirate bases, often found in asteroid fields or hidden sectors, are typically less defended than faction stations but can still field a respectable number of ships and turrets. A single destroyer or a small wing of well-equipped fighters can often handle these. Prioritize destroying their defense drones and turrets, then target their docking modules to prevent reinforcements. Capturing the base is also an option if you have marines.
